What is PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE?
Preventative maintenance is performing simple inspections, cleanings, and adjustments to keep your home’s HVAC system in optimum working condition. Like scheduling a physical at the doctor's office or an oil change, preventative maintenance can help fix smaller issues before they become costly repairs. Preventative maintenance also provides insight when your system is getting close to retirement giving you more time to save up for a system upgrade. We recommend preventative maintenance appointments twice a year: once in the spring and once in the fall.
Why do I need DRYER VENT CLEANING ?
According to the U.S. Fire Administration there are a reported 2,900 dryer fires each year causing 35million dollars in damage. The main culprit for dryer vent fires is lint buildup in the dryer duct. A lint trap alone will not prevent all lint from entering ductwork where it can build up and catch fire. Dryer vent cleaning is an inexpensive and quick preventative measure that can be taken to avoid this unnecessary catastrophe. We recommend scheduling a dryer vent cleaning at least once a year during your regularly scheduled preventative maintenance appointment.
